VACCUM BOX TESTING
Vacuum Box Testing is a test method that is used to detect leaks. It is a practical way of testing in comparison to the quantitative measures used to examine objects. Vacuum Box Testing can be used to test objects on which a pressure differential can be created across the area to be examined.
A vacuum box and a compressor create a high or low-pressure vacuum and a detergent solution is applied to the test area. The detergent bubbles help to identify the leaks within the created pressure envelope.
Vacuum box inspection of lap welds, butt welds and fillet welds. These vacuum boxes are used to examine a small and specific portion of the welded area to produce accurate results.
